Discovering Sedona in Style: A Review of Hilton Sedona at Bell Rock

Nestled amidst the breathtaking red rock landscape of Arizona, the Hilton Sedona At Bell Rock offers a tranquil retreat with stunning views and exceptional amenities. During my three-night stay in November, I experienced firsthand why this resort is a fantastic choice for exploring the Sedona area. While I previously shared highlights of my Sedona adventure, I wanted to provide a more detailed look into the Hilton Sedona at Bell Rock experience for anyone planning their own visit. This review will delve into the location, rooms, grounds, spa, dining, and overall value of this remarkable Sedona hotel.

Prime Location with Iconic Views

The Hilton Sedona at Bell Rock boasts a strategic location approximately 8 miles south of Sedona’s town center. This translates to about a 16-minute drive, providing easy access to Sedona’s attractions while offering a peaceful escape from the busier downtown area. While traffic can be a factor, especially during peak seasons like spring, my off-season visit in November allowed for smooth drives.

For travelers intending to explore Sedona’s natural wonders, having a car is highly recommended, making the resort’s slightly removed location an advantage rather than a drawback. The benefit of this location is immediately apparent – even from the parking lot, the panoramic views of Sedona’s majestic red rocks are simply awe-inspiring. Bell Rock, one of Sedona’s most iconic formations, is particularly prominent and adds to the visual appeal of the resort’s surroundings.

Comfortable and Clean Rooms: Your Sedona Sanctuary

During my stay at the Hilton Sedona at Bell Rock, I was generously upgraded to a king suite. While the decor might align with the familiar style of a chain hotel, the room was exceptionally clean and provided a comfortable and spacious environment. The suite featured a large bathroom, a private balcony to soak in the Sedona air, and a separate living room complete with a cozy fireplace – perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.

For a more visual tour of the room, you can check out my Instagram story highlights (look for “Moving 2”) where I shared a video walkthrough. However, even without the visual tour, rest assured that the rooms at Hilton Sedona at Bell Rock are designed for comfort and relaxation, providing a welcoming retreat after your Sedona adventures.

Resort Grounds and Amenities: Relaxation and Recreation

The resort grounds at Hilton Sedona at Bell Rock were undoubtedly a highlight of my stay. The outdoor spaces are thoughtfully designed to maximize enjoyment of the stunning Sedona scenery and pleasant weather. A dog-friendly patio offers ample seating, complete with inviting fire pits that create a warm and social atmosphere, especially during cooler desert evenings.

While the two pools were closed during my winter visit, they promise refreshing relaxation during warmer months, with views overlooking Sedona’s iconic red rock formations. For recreation and leisure, the resort provides outdoor games like ping pong and cornhole, and a well-maintained lawn hosts yoga classes when the weather is favorable. Whether you seek relaxation by the fire, a refreshing swim, or outdoor activities, the Hilton Sedona at Bell Rock grounds cater to diverse preferences.

Rejuvenation at the Hilton Sedona Spa

While I don’t typically indulge in hotel spas, the accumulated tension from a long road trip prompted me to visit the spa at Hilton Sedona at Bell Rock. The experience proved to be exceptional, particularly the leg massage which effectively relieved my travel-induced discomfort. Unlike previous massage experiences, the therapist at the Hilton Sedona spa was attentive and engaging, making the session enjoyable and therapeutic. I would highly recommend the spa services for guests seeking relaxation and rejuvenation during their Sedona stay.

Additionally, the spa offers convenient amenities such as hot tubs within the men’s and women’s locker rooms, a welcome alternative when the outdoor hot tub is closed during winter months. During my visit, the hotel was offering a bonus of 2,500 Hilton Honors points for spa spending over $150, adding extra value for Hilton Honors members.

Dining at Shadowrock Tap + Table and Breakfast Benefits

The Hilton Sedona at Bell Rock features an on-site restaurant, Shadowrock Tap + Table. Although I didn’t personally dine there, the restaurant boasts a welcoming bar area with ample seating and numerous TVs, making it a great spot to unwind with drinks in a comfortable indoor setting.

For breakfast, Hilton Honors Diamond members (a benefit I enjoy thanks to the Hilton Aspire card) receive a generous daily food and beverage credit. This credit can be used towards a variety of grab-and-go breakfast options, including breakfast burritos, or at the on-site Starbucks, providing flexible and convenient breakfast choices for guests.

Booking with Points and Maximizing Value

I booked my stay at the Hilton Sedona at Bell Rock using Hilton Honors points, and at 60,000 points per night, it felt like excellent value, particularly considering standard room rates often range between $400 and $500. Furthermore, booking with points waived the often-annoying resort fees, which included complimentary parking, adding even more to the savings.

Plan Your Next Sedona Escape at Hilton Sedona at Bell Rock

If I were to return to Sedona, I would definitely consider staying at the Hilton Sedona at Bell Rock again, perhaps during the spring season to fully enjoy the pools and warmer weather. The resort’s website also mentions Saturday night telescope stargazing, an experience I would be keen to explore on a future visit.
