Rock the Country 2025 Festival in Poplar Bluff, MO, Canceled

Country music fans in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, will be disappointed to learn that the Rock The Country 2025 music festival stop has been officially canceled. The announcement, made public via the event’s Facebook group, cites low ticket sales as the primary reason for the cancellation. This decision comes as a setback after the inaugural event in 2024 proved to be a significant success for the region.

Steve Halter, president of the Poplar Bluff Chamber of Commerce, expressed his disappointment in a statement. He acknowledged the success of the previous year’s festival, which attracted over 42,000 attendees to Poplar Bluff and highlighted the region as a destination for live music. While understanding the challenges with ticket sales this year, Halter suggested that the addition of Little Rock as a festival venue and changes in the artist lineup might have contributed to a decrease in momentum for the Poplar Bluff event. Despite the cancellation, the Chamber of Commerce remains optimistic about Brick’s Off Road Park, the venue for the festival, and its ability to host future high-quality events. Halter also clarified that the Rock the Country festival was a year-by-year agreement and is not planned for Poplar Bluff in the following year.

Brick’s Off Road Park declined to comment on the cancellation when reached out on Friday, January 31st.

For ticketholders, organizers of Rock the Country 2025 are providing options to transfer tickets to another festival location or request a full refund. Details on how to proceed with these options can be found on the official Rock the Country website.

This cancellation marks a shift in the Rock the Country 2025 schedule, redirecting attention to its other venues. Poplar Bluff had previously experienced a significant economic boost from hosting the festival, and city leaders had openly discussed its positive impact. While the 2025 event will not take place in Poplar Bluff, the focus now turns to the other locations set to host the Rock the Country music festival.
