Rock the Block Season 6: Veteran vs. Rookie Reno Teams Face Off in 2025

HGTV’s smash-hit home renovation competition series, Rock the Block, has been greenlit for a highly anticipated sixth season, promising a fresh twist that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats. Set to premiere in Spring 2025, season 6 will see the return of beloved host Ty Pennington (Battle on the Beach) and introduce a thrilling new format: a face-off between veteran and rookie teams.

For the first time in Rock the Block history, seasoned pros will battle against fresh talent, creating an exciting dynamic of experience versus new perspectives. Two veteran teams and two rookie teams will compete head-to-head, bringing their unique design aesthetics and renovation expertise to the block.

Veteran Teams Return to Dominate

Leading the charge for the veteran teams are some of HGTV’s most recognizable and accomplished stars. Alison Victoria of Windy City Rehab, a design powerhouse, is back and ready to reclaim victory. Joining her is Michel Smith Boyd (Luxe for Less), a previous Rock the Block champion known for his high-end design sensibilities. Adding to the veteran lineup are home restoration expert Jonathan Knight (Farmhouse Fixer) and his New Kids on the Block bandmate and brother Jordan Knight (Farmhouse Fixer Camp Revamp), who together bring a unique blend of renovation and creative energy.

Rookie Teams Eager to Prove Themselves

Stepping onto the Rock the Block battlefield for the first time are two dynamic rookie teams eager to make their mark. Married home renovation experts Chelsea and Cole DeBoer (Down Home Fab) are set to bring their signature style and strong teamwork to the competition. Rounding out the rookie teams are house-flipping aficionados Kamohai and Tristyn Kalama (Renovation Aloha), known for their expertise in transforming properties with an Aloha spirit.

Bigger Houses, Bigger Challenges in Salt Lake City

Season 6 of Rock the Block ups the ante with bigger houses and even bigger challenges. Host Ty Pennington will guide the teams as they renovate identical modern homes located just outside Salt Lake City, Utah. Each team will have six weeks and a budget of $250,000 to transform these properties, boasting stunning mountain views and the largest backyards in the series’ history, into dream homes. The stakes are high, with bragging rights and a street named in their honor awaiting the winning team.
