Rock the Country 2025 Lineup: Poplar Bluff Festival Officially Canceled

The Rock the Country music festival stop in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, has been officially canceled, organizers announced. The news comes as a disappointment to many who were anticipating the event and the highly anticipated Rock The Country 2025 Lineup.

Citing low ticket sales as the primary reason, a statement posted on the event’s public Facebook group page confirmed the cancellation of the Poplar Bluff date. This decision marks a significant shift from the previous year, where the festival in Poplar Bluff was hailed as a resounding success, drawing over 42,000 attendees to the region.

Steve Halter, president of the Poplar Bluff Chamber of Commerce, expressed his disappointment in a statement. “We are incredibly disappointed that the Rock the Country music festival will not be returning to Poplar Bluff this year,” Halter stated. He highlighted the previous year’s success and the positive impact it had on the community, adding, “Last year’s event was a massive success, bringing over 42,000 people to our community and showcasing what makes our region such a great destination for live music and entertainment.”

Halter suggested that the addition of Little Rock as a new venue and changes to the artist lineup might have contributed to the slower ticket sales this year. Despite the cancellation, he remains optimistic about Poplar Bluff’s capacity to host major events in the future. “Poplar Bluff and Brick’s Off Road Park proved that it could host a major, two-day festival, and we have no doubt that the dedicated team at Brick’s will continue to bring high-quality events to our area,” he affirmed. The Chamber of Commerce confirmed they are not planning to host Rock the Country next year, as it was considered a year-by-year agreement.

Brick’s Off Road Park, the venue for the festival, declined to comment on the cancellation.

For ticket holders, organizers have provided options to transfer tickets to another Rock the Country festival location or request a full refund. Details on how to proceed with these options can be found on the official Rock the Country website.

While the cancellation is a setback for Poplar Bluff, the community remains hopeful for future opportunities to showcase itself as a premier destination for live entertainment and looks forward to welcoming high-caliber events in the years to come.
