Role Summary
As a Cinemark Team Member at our round rock movie theater, you are the face of our brand, creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for every guest. You’ll be the go-to person for information, quickly and accurately answering questions about movies, showtimes, special events, pricing, and promotions. Your commitment to quality will ensure that every aspect of the guest experience is top-notch. From guiding guests to their auditoriums to ensuring the cleanliness of our facilities, you play a vital role in delivering heroic guest service. Flexibility is key, as Team Members may also work in various roles such as Usher, Box Office, or Concessionist, depending on the theater’s needs. In each of these roles, you’ll perform essential job functions with enthusiasm and dedication.
Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities as a Theatre Team Member at our round rock movie theater will include:
- Greeting guests with a warm smile and professional demeanor, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Operating Cinemark’s point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently and accurately for all transactions at your assigned register.
- Verifying tickets at the entrance podium and providing clear directions to the correct auditorium.
- Ensuring responsible ticket sales, adhering to MPAA rating guidelines, studio admittance policies, and company protocols.
- Providing comprehensive information to guests regarding movie titles, showtimes, pricing, special events, alternative movie selections, and general round rock movie theater information.
- Answering phone calls and addressing guest inquiries with professionalism and a focus on quality customer service.
- Conducting regular theatre checks to monitor movie presentation and sound quality, proactively preventing film and content theft, and maintaining a safe and high-quality environment within the auditoriums.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the entire round rock movie theater property, including the lobby, aisles, restrooms, auditoriums, exits, and parking lot, ensuring a pleasant environment for all guests.
- Preparing and serving food items, expertly operating cooking, warming, and popping equipment in the concessions area to provide delicious treats for our moviegoers.
- Consistently cleaning and sanitizing high-contact areas for both employees and guests, upholding our commitment to hygiene and safety.
- Complying with all local, state, and federal food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the health and well-being of our guests.
- Actively monitoring the round rock movie theater for safety and security hazards, such as trip hazards or lighting issues, and reporting any suspicious activity to management promptly.
- Assisting with opening and closing duties as assigned by management, contributing to the smooth operation of the round rock movie theater.
- Performing other work-related duties as directed by management to support the overall success of the theater.
Requirements:
To succeed as a Team Member at Cinemark’s round rock movie theater, you must:
- Be at least 16 years of age.
- Complete basic food handling training and obtain any required local or state certifications, health cards, or food handler permits.
- Have the flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the needs of our round rock movie theater schedule.
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance to ensure reliable staffing levels.
- Possess an energetic and friendly attitude throughout each shift, contributing to a positive work environment.
- Provide excellent guest service, demonstrating a passion for customer satisfaction.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing) with individuals of all ages, genders, and personalities. Must be proficient in English comprehension and conversation.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals.
- Demonstrate the ability to take direction and follow instructions accurately.
- Respond to situations with a sense of urgency, addressing guest needs and operational demands promptly.
- Possess accurate cash handling and basic math skills for efficient transactions.
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
Working at our round rock movie theater requires the following physical abilities:
- Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking, and reaching throughout the theater.
- Ability to work in environments where the noise level may fluctuate from moderate to high.
- Capability to remain in a standing position for extended periods.
