The Round Rock Police Department has made a third arrest in connection to the deadly shooting that occurred at Old Settlers Park during the annual Juneteenth celebration on June 15. This tragic event resulted in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to 14 others, shaking the Round Rock community.
Keshawn Dixon, 18, was apprehended on Saturday, July 6, in Killeen and subsequently transported to the Bell County Jail. He faces charges of deadly conduct, a third-degree felony, and may face additional charges as the investigation progresses. This arrest marks the latest development in the ongoing effort to bring all those responsible for the Round Rock Shooting to justice.
This arrest follows the apprehension of a second suspect, a male juvenile, on Friday, June 21. The juvenile was taken into custody and transported to the Williamson County Juvenile Justice Center. Details about the juvenile suspect are being withheld due to their age, in accordance with legal procedures.
Earlier in the investigation, on Thursday, June 20, 17-year-old Ricky Thompson III of Manor was arrested in Pflugerville by the Lonestar Fugitive Task Force. Thompson was booked into the Williamson County Jail and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony. Authorities have indicated that Thompson could also face additional charges as more evidence is collected and analyzed in the Round Rock shooting case.
