Yes! The Rock and Roll Marathon series is known for its inclusive and walker-friendly atmosphere. Participants of all paces are welcome. However, to ensure the event runs smoothly and roads can reopen in a timely manner, there are course time limits:
- Half Marathon Time Limit: 4 hours
- 10K Time Limit: 2 hours
- 5K Time Limit: 1 hour

Navigating Road Closures for Rock and Roll Marathon Arizona 2025
Be aware of significant road closures throughout Tempe, Phoenix, and Scottsdale to accommodate the race courses. Closures will be in effect from 3:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with streets reopening on a rolling basis as soon as the final runners have passed and course cleanup is complete.
Notably, Rio Salado Parkway will be fully closed from Mill Avenue to Ash Avenue for an extended period, starting from 4:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 18th, and lasting until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 19th.
