Remembering Timothy David “Tim” Pridell: A Rock Port, MO Life Celebrated

Timothy David “Tim” Pridell Jr., a beloved resident of Rock Port, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home on January 10, 2025, at the age of 40. Surrounded by his loving family and friends, Tim bravely fought melanoma until the very end. Born on February 19, 1984, in St. Petersburg, Florida, Tim’s life journey took him from Upstate New York to Nebraska and Iowa, before he finally found his home and community in Rock Port, MO.

Tim was the cherished son of Monica and Tim Pridell Sr. His passion for the outdoors was undeniable, finding joy in hunting, fishing, camping, and hiking. He was dedicated to sharing his love for nature with his children, teaching them the wonders of the natural world. Beyond his outdoor pursuits, Tim was a talented cook, always eager to explore new recipes and cuisines.

In Rock Port, Missouri, Tim built a fulfilling life. He married Lacey, the love of his life, on December 8, 2022, and together they created a beautiful blended family. Family was at the heart of Tim’s life, and he treasured every moment spent with his children Devon, Kade, and Kenzie, and bonus children Hailey, Bayleigh, Holdyn, Paisley, Daxxyn, Greenly, and Gentry.

Tim was a hardworking and respected member of the Rock Port community. He contributed his skills to various local businesses including Klosek’s LLC, Atchison Recycling, and Golden Triangle Energy. Most recently, he found a career he truly loved at Vestas. Even when his health declined and he could no longer work, Tim remained connected to his community through his “Men’s Coffee with Tim” gatherings at Pleasant View nursing home, demonstrating his resilient and giving spirit in Rock Port, MO.

Tim is lovingly remembered by his wife Lacey, his children, and his large extended family. He is survived by his brothers Nick Rist, John Rist, Jordan Rist, Noah Johnson, and Jared Dailey, his grandmother Merianne Shelmidine, and his supportive in-laws: brothers-in-law Jeremy Huntley (Holly), Nathan Huntley (Bobbi), Russell Huntley (Melissa), and Heath Huntley (Kaitlyn), and parents-in-law Joe and Patsy Shipley, and Jamie and Rhonda Huntley, along with bonus dad Mike Klosek Jr. He also leaves behind special friends Michael Klosek III, Tony Howell, Troy Lawson, Sam Hannah, and Justin Gish, bonus grandparents Gus and Cathy Barnett, and numerous other relatives and friends who were touched by his life in Rock Port, Missouri and beyond.

Tim was predeceased by his parents, Monica Rist and Timothy Pridell Sr., and his grandpa, Peter Shelmidine. His memory will be cherished forever by all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life service to honor Tim will be held at the Atchison County Memorial Building in Rock Port, MO, on Friday, January 17, 2025, at 4:00 PM.

Following cremation, a private family inurnment will be held. The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made in Tim’s name to either his family or to outpacingmelanoma.org, continuing his spirit of generosity within and beyond the Rock Port, MO area.

The Minter Funeral Chapel of Rock Port and the Barnett Family Funeral Home of Oskaloosa, KS, are honored to be assisting the family with arrangements during this difficult time.
